Across the road from the cottage is Bellfield Park, if you feel energetic you may like to play tennis or alternatively just relax and enjoy the beautiful public gardens. On many Sunday afternoons during the summer you can enjoy live music (jazz, classical, Scottish and brass bands) in the bandstand.
The Ness Islands are only a few minutes walk away and are a lovely place to spend an afternoon.
The Floral Hall, indoor swimming pool and leisure centre are also nearby.
If you fancy a night out at Eden Court Theatre, this too is a short stroll from the cottage via the footbridge across the river. In summer the Highland Games and Inverness Tattoo are held in parks near the river.
